Well--I am home alone today..WOOOHOOOOOO!!!! My husband went on a day long road trip with his brother....so, I am ENJOYING LIFE!!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful, happy day!!!
Ahhhh...It's been a long day, and I am tired, and have nothing to say--lol...I threw this together while watching The Closer tonight!! Hope you enjoy!!
Hello Blogland People!!
When did I last post?? Hmmm..did I speak of Ricky the Rabid Raccoon...the little guy that attacked Petey the WonderDog?? LOL..I better check the blog, and see--I don't need to repeat myself, now do I?
This is a paper Art Doll that I made. She's HUGE--about 14inches tall. I am going to shrink her through the magic of a copy machine though.
Nothing much else here...just wasting my days away..
This is me and some friends doing the happy dance!! I bet you didn't know that I was a male, Samoan, and a wrestler that wore a skirt, did you? (Imagine THAT in a pair of Curious George pajamas, running around chasing Petey in the freezing cold!! HAHAHAHA). Ok...So, that's not really me, and my friends. I am not male, and I have no big, half-naked, bad hair friends. LOL...
Here's another one! Gosh--I feel like I am creating again! I really am looking at these small moleskine projects as large paintings. I cannot wait to start transforming them into large pieces of art!
I have felt so light and free this week. I know my feelings were hurt when I got thrown out of that group, but I think God knew that it was the negative energy in my life. I just feel so expressive again, and so positive!!
Everyone have happy, sweet, artistic dreams!!!
This piece was super fun to do! I don't have much to say--just making art (if you can call it that) today!
Good Happy Morning!! I have been up and at them since very early this morning. Had to chase Petey the Wonderdog down in the freezing cold. (Nothing like an early morning chase, in your pajamas to get the blood circulating..hehehe...and the lungs bursting)..Anyways--going shopping again today, if I can get motivated to get out of my pj's, and brush my hair...LOL..(gotta love being an internet artist--you never have to get dressed...)
Well--have a wonderful, happy day!!!!
Do Unto Others before they do unto you... It actually says " Everything is funny as long as it is happening to someone else."
Hello!!! I spent ALL day cleaning my art room, so I only had time to one little spread in my little art journal. (It's only 5 1/2 x 7 inches opened.)
I liked the way it turned out.
Everyone have a wonderful, happy, artful day!!
I bought a new moleskine pocket sketchbook, and wanted to see just what I could put it through. I started by stamping 4 colors straight on the pages, added gesso--then sanded it off with sandpaper. I added glue, ink, stamping, pencil, highlighters, paper, watercolor pencil, majic marker, and whatever else was sitting close by. I was rough and abusive, and it stood up like a dream. No leaking through, no tears. WONDERFUL!! I love these sketchbooks!
Well, today I can say that I certainly have been blessed, and much looked out for. I awoke this morning to the smell of something burning. I immediately checked the little heater that sits near my feet. But it was off (I normally turn everything off before bed!). I kept searching...and in the studio (a matchstick in itself!!!All that paper!!)...there sat a picture leaning against the heater, and the picture was scorched. We have a wall heater (electric) in the studio, and way above it, on the wall--I had this huge old picture. I guess that at some time during the night, it fell from the wall, and landed leaning against the heater. I had left the heater on low, so that the studio would not be freezing in the morning. (never again!). The painting was scorched pretty good, and it was smoking. Thank you God above, that it didn't completely ignite before it was found!! So, today--I am just happy that my old house is still standing, and my husband and I are safe and sound.
Have a Happy, Artful day!!!!

Here's my last 3 journal pages...Whew, I am beyond exhausted. We went antiquing, and as luck would have it--when you have extra money, you never find a darn thing!! We went thrifting--nothing--So, I pacified myself with 4 new pairs of CROCS (in a multitude of colors), bought SHE WHO KNOWS EVERYTHING (my daughter) a pair of shoes that had these pink glittery skulls on them...LOL..totally absurd, and SHE LOVED THEM!! My husband got himself a T-shirt with a blue-eyed wizard on it (it looks just like him...LOL). (We are such an artsy family!)...then we went to Barnes & Noble (better known as THE TEMPLE OF SUZAN's ILLNESS)...and I went NUTS...I got 18 books, 4 packs of scrapbooking paper/stickers/etc, some Sakuri Gelly Roll Pens, some Vintage Map stickers, 4 Moleskine sketchbooks, and some Moleskine notebooks. Then we went to Walmart, and bought everything-you-need-to-run-a-house-for-6-months. LOL. Cleaners, toilet stuff, etc...etc...I stock up on this stuff twice a year...because I HATE going to the store. This morning at 7:30 am, I went out on my front porch for my morning cigarette, and I let Petey the Wonderdog out, so he could go do his business...(I usually take him out on a leash, even though we (our family) owns the entire street, and it's way out in the country...) But this morning, it was a gazillion degrees below freezing, and I knew that I could lure him back with a hamburger...so, I let him out --so that he can pretend to be a wild dog (his favorite pasttime)...and I go back inside to put on coffee, and check my email, and blah, blah blah...and in a few minutes, I go to make sure he's back on the porch (it's huge, and he has a house on it), and I see him down the street in my brother-in-law's yard. His leg is almost straight up in the air, and he's going in circles, going in circles, (on 3 legs)...He's looking like a messed up ballerina...and I am laughing, calling him, waving a hamburger patty...and he looks like he's tangled up, and he's dancing around, and around.**SiGH...So..I go get my blanket, put a scarf on my head, and slip my feet into my husband's hunting boots, (looking like a Russian beggar woman), and I go to see what's wrong with my dog. He has this branch of this rose bush..barely touching the underside of his tummy, and I guess he thought he was impaled on it, because he's dancing, dancing....so I gently push it out from under him, (it wasn't stuck IN him, only TOUCHING him), and he takes off like a scalded dog....LOL LOL...running like his tail was on fire...I would have fell down laughing if I hadn't been holding a blanket, and wearing shoes that were 5 sizes too big. Silly dog...Thank you for making me laugh!!
Well...I hear a book, a blanket, and a bed calling my name (I missed my nap today!) I have had a long, fun, happy day...and I should sleep like a baby. Sweet arty dreams to everyone!!!
Hello!!! Oh my god!! What is up with the price of groceries--they are going up every time I walk in the store!! It's driving me insane!! (Because you KNOW I rather be buying art supplies, and stuff!!!)SIGH!!!!
My husband is on a website for up and coming authors, and his book got to #8 tonight!! He was so tickled!!!
That's about it--No life to talk to you about!!!
BE ARTY!!
This is a HUGE piece for me. It's 12 x 16 on an old piece of Masonite (see close ups below). This started out as a background for one of those big-headed, striped necked, Teesha Moore styled Zettis--but then took a total turn around, and this is what came out.
I am very happy with this piece.***patting self on shoulder...lalalalallalallalala...AND I DID IT WITHOUT THE GILMORE GIRLS!!!!
This is a 12 x 16 piece of old Masonite, collage/mixed media thing.

Hello!! Wow. I have come to the realization today--that I seriously need to get a job! I need a job, so that I can get away from my studio, and this constant glueing and writing and arting!!!LOL. They are going to come get me with the straight jacket, and take me away to a hospital--where they'll sit me in a room to glue and write all day..LOL...(I would think that they would take my scissors away though)...and I would hope they would let me have some glue...Anyway--I am going to go job hunting--and see what I can find in this god forsaken hick place in which I live.
This is my newest passion--LOL..I am obsessed!! Drawing went by the wayside very quickly didn't it??
Nothing much is happening here. I promise to go out soon, and get a life, so that I will have something to write about..LOL.
This is just me sitting around, bored silly,...passing time.
This is what I did this morning while having coffee. Then we had to go on our road trip to the college thing AGAIN. We will still have to make 2 more trips just to get his books, because of the blantant incompetence of some lazy professors...LOL..
I had a sinister "beat someone with a stick" kinda day...LOL..(not really--I am too sweet for that!)
this is today's sketch--I have slept almost all day, on and off--LOL...I hope that I am not catching anything. I am tired and cold...(whine, whine, whine)--Well..that's all folks!!
This woman's art gives a new meaning to Collage!! IT IS FABULOUS!! Her flickr name is Alexisanne. Her stuff is SO beautiful!!
This is my drawing from yesterday, I will be back later with more..LOL

This is my newest drawing/sketch. Much better than "grimacing robot man"...LOL.
This is a tag that I did. I like doing tags for some reason...I am going to try to some all through the year.

This is the weekly challenge for Think Monday, Think ATC--The challenge is Fireworks of Color. Sorry about putting my challenge piece right in the middle of all this, but I want to do a couple of more pieces tonight, and so I am hurrying.

The next 3 pieces are large altered vintage file folders. The top one is 10 x 10, the bottom two are 10 x 12.

Happy New Year!!!
Day One is going great! I have already done a piece of art, wrote in my journal, and took a walk--and it's not even noon yet!!
Only 364 days to go to fulfil this year's resolutions!
