APRIL 28th and 29th TROYFEST -- TROY ALABAMA!!!

Oh HAPPY DAY!!! Four more days until we get to set up for the Troy, Alabama TROYFEST!! It's one of my favorite shows of the season!! I am so excited, and am working furiously to get everything ready!! I am out of my dark cloud, and ready to PAINT again. I will tell you what I did!! Yesterday, I started to clean my  studio..I have been in a funk for months, struggling through every brush stroke..not even doing a painting a day...etc..so, I decided to CLEAN THE PIGSTY!! I paint at a table. On my left-hand side is a large counter from an old store. On top of this counter, I had another table..and stuff piled on both pieces...It created a deep dark hole, which just happens to be where I sit and paint...In this dark hole also sits my TV, and my computer....So yesterday, I have Chuck come in, and remove the table piled on the table..(after I had removed all the crap that was piled to the ceiling)..and POOF..LIGHT!! I no longer feel trapped..I guess it was creating a CAVE EFFECT..because once it was all gone (except the computer and TV)....it was like a glorious light at the end of the tunnel. I felt as if a boulder was lifted off of me!!! So, I am happy, and after a long, long winter ...am ready to kick some a.....Live Artfully!!

IT IS SHOW TIME!!! SEASON STARTS IN ONE WEEK!!

Hello!! WOW. March is OVER WITH! I am so happy that April is almost here, and ART SHOW SEASON is just around the corner. It starts in ONE WEEK!! We will be in Birmingham first..more about it later! Well..I've been busy, working on smaller pieces, and going to pick up all the large work from the Kentuck Museum Show this week! Live Artfully!!

Last night at the Kentuck Museum Art Night, I had a reception for my month-long show. It was a great experience!!! One of my favorite couples sent me flowers, and made me feel so special!! Eight of my friends came from all over Alabama to see the show. I was just amazed. I am so blessed to have all these wonderful people in my life! THANK YOU to all that came and for the GREAT people at the Kentuck Museum for all that they did. They are an amazing group!!

Well..HAPPY 2012!! I am sorry that I haven't blogged in weeks!! I got sick after the last post, and it took nearly a month to get well, and by the time I got well---I had so much on my plate that I had to make art!

This year has started off WONDERFULLY (if you ignore that I was so sick),,,I got a great deal to illustrate a child's book (that's ALL I can say about it), and I got a HUGE commission job...on TOP of a SOLO EXHIBIT at the Kentuck Museum of Art, in Northport, Alabama. SOooooo..I have been painting like a crazy person, and can't SHARE anything that I have been working on. The above painting is for the show..so, I'm cheating a bit.hehehe. So..for now..stick with me..I will be putting a lot of art on the blog, and blogging more frequently as soon as I clear some of this work
