DESTINY -- NEW ART DOLL ASSEMBLAGE

Friday, January 30, 2009 Edit This 6 Comments »

SOLD
Here's the new dollie. She's 11 inches long (not including her "Destiny" tag that hangs off the bottom). Many layers on this one--coffee stained cheesecloth, old barn wood, a metal spring, a letterpress block, tin, embellishments, and a handpainted Paper Clay face, all sitting on an antique metal train car.
She's a bit more expensive, because I used a lot of parts on her, but well worth the extra money!! She's beautiful, and put together very well!

TAGGED 198 TIMES on FACEBOOK!!!

Friday, January 30, 2009 Edit This 9 Comments »
LOL..Ok..I am bored this morning, and I have been repeatedly tagged on Facebook, and you ALL KNOW that I don't like to be tagged, and I don't like to tell you Random things about myself, and I don't like...blah, blah, blah.......

But, since I KEEP getting tagged, I did come up with 25 Random Things About ME...so, you can read them, or you can just go find something else to do, and if you read them, and if you so choose--you can make gagging sounds..I won't be offended...LOL..

1. My grandparents raised me.
2. I traveled alone for the first time when I was 12. An eight hour bus ride. I sat with an extremely old black woman the whole trip, and I still remember her absolutely beautiful papery thin skin and wrinkles. I think she was an angel sent to watch over me.
3. I believe in ghost. I have seen/talked to 3 of them.
4. I met a gypsy woman, who told me about my whole life, even though I had never seen or met her before.
5. My best friend of 17 years died in a car wreck 12 years ago. It was the most devastating thing in my life, and I still think of her every day.
6. I worked for a private investigator, and use to carry a gun to "work".
7. I act tough and strong, but am actually very, very sensitive.
8. I "sense" bad in people. (only if they are "bad").
9. I went to my first New Orleans Mardi Gras at 16, with a friend. Told my grandparents I was going on a church camping trip. The FIRST person I saw when I got of the car in New Orleans was my UNCLE..LOL..(CAUGHT!)
10. A man ran out of the crowd while we were at a red light that same trip, kissed me, and told me that "Princesses were only born once in a lifetime".
11. I have always thought that I was EXTREMELY ugly, even though I had men chasing me relentlessly in my youth.
12. I have always went to church until I moved here 7 years ago. I miss going to church.
13. I am a lot more spiritual and religious than you would assume if you met me.
14. I played with a OUIJI board one time, it scared me so badly that I sat it on fire in the yard, and will not even allow one in my house.
15. I like animals more than people.
16. I had never felt "LOVE" until my daughter was born.
17. I didn't watch TV for about 10 years when my daughter was growing up.
18. I wanted to be an artist before I went to kindergarden, but didn't become one until I was 42.
19. I have spoke to my father about a total of 10 sentences since I was 15. Would not mind if I never spoke to him again.
20. I am a very black/white type of person. There is very little grey area in my life. It's either one way or the other.
21. I eat very, very healthy, but am overweight due to a hormone missing in my body.
22. I use to run faster than anyone I knew. I have won a lot of money racing men on foot.
23. Until I met my husband, my best friend in the world was a 72 year old man.
24. I rarely ask God for anything (except my daughter's safety and happiness), but thank him for everything that I have.
25. I was always wild as a teenager, but wanted to be a "goody-goody two shoes."

GOING TO MICHEALS..ART STUFF!!

Friday, January 30, 2009 Edit This 16 Comments »

GOOD MORNING!! I have finally had two nights in a row of sleeping a bit more, and am feeling great!! I am going to have a decent sleep schedule, I am going to have a decent sleep schedule...(repeating this to myself regularly..)hehehe.

Last night, I drove Nature Boy to his college class, and dropped him off, and went to Micheals. It's honestly like sending a drug addict into a room filled with his favorite drug. I bypassed the scrapbooking section completely..because REALLY--I DON'T scrapbook, and I don't really need 4,000 pieces of pretty paper, and paper flowers, and glue dots...HOW many can a girl have??? So, skipping that section, the first section that I came upon was the rubber stamps. GOODNESS!! Are you people at Micheal's INSANE??? When did simple alphabet stamps start costing more than a good dinner out, in a REAL restaurant, with a waitress (as opposed to walking up to a counter, and giving your order to someone in a tacky colored shirt)??? I'm THRIFTY, I am not spending $25 dollars to have ABC's stamped all over my stuff..GET REAL! Ok..I have 15 alphabet sets, so I can live without those...

Next aisle--BEADS!! JEWELRY FINDINGS (the parts that hold the jewelry together), charms, and other miscellaneous sparkly goodness...and CLEARANCE signs....OMG!! NOTHING sets my heart on fire like a brightly colored sign that says CLEARANCE...time to buy in bulk, time to overstock my entire life...SO..with my heart beating a little faster than normal, I begin my search...oooooing and aahhhinggg...BUT WAIT!!! These little packages are priced at $2.99 EACH...THAT's not CLEARANCE!! Twenty-five cents is CLEARANCE, 60% off is CLEARANCE, Buy 5 -- Get 5 FREE is clearance...$2.99 is Micheal's way of saying "WE THINK YOU ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO FALL FOR THIS DEAL, BECAUSE WE'VE ADDED BRIGHT ORANGE SIGNS THAT SAY CLEARANCE!!" Umpppfff...I went and found a shiny piece of metal to look into, just to make sure that I didn't have STUPID SHOPPER tattooed mysteriously on my forehead...Now, let me pause a minute--and tell you what I WAS THINKING the whole time I was in Micheal's..I was thinking..THIS PLACE is going UNDER. They can't compete. The days are OVER when Micheal's was your only choice for ART/CRAFT supplies. They are desperate, and are trying to pass off stuff on us, for ridiculous prices. (I am NOT even mentioning the "EMBELLISHMENT CENTER" for $$49.99, and each individual container costing $5.99 to $7.99--and it holds 20 containers...). Anyway, I digress..So, I found some jump rings and since I NEEDED those, that is all I got in the CLEARANCE bead section....On to the wood section--walk fast..scan...I don't like new wood...OK..swing around the framing section, once again..scanning, scanning..walking over to the real artist section...looking, looking, looking...I own that, I have one of those, I have 3 of those, don't NEED those...I help the lady that makes $6.50 an hour to be at Micheal's find where to put stuff that people have left all over the store. (Hopefully, this is securing her JOB, because with their "CLEARANCE" prices, no one is BUYING anything). So, the next time you are in Micheal's--just rearrange stuff while you are there--so, that poor lady will have something to do for 20 hours of her life every week. Anyway.. I walk over to the dollar section--ewwwww...cheap, made in China crapola...some cutesy stuff..basically NOTHING..so..here I am--clutching my little package of jump rings, and heading for the cash register. I figure that I will buy a book or magazine on the way out. WHAT??? CALL THE POLICE!! YOU HAVE BEEN ROBBED!! SOMEONE STOLE YOUR BOOK/ MAGAZINE SECTION!!! Where is it??? I ask the cashier...she tells me that they cut back on that section..***sigh..I step up to the cashier, she rings up my jump rings, and says that'll be $3.15--they are on CLEARANCE--you know.
Have a Happy Day!! (little dollie preview at top)

I HAVE SWIRLY HEAD AGAIN!! PREPARING FOR THE YEAR AHEAD! LONG BORING POST!!

Wednesday, January 28, 2009 Edit This 15 Comments »
Ok...in some blantant attempt to overcompensate for my laziness in January, and get squared away for the year..I have been working on a "plan" for the upcoming year...and I so far have a blank piece of paper with nothing on it, and on another piece of paper, I have everything that I want to do. (My goal list for this year...really stunk).

I am "getting ready" though. The day before yesterday, I bought some "art walls". The kind you have to have to do shows. I already had the tents, tables, tablecloths, display racks, etc, etc...from the antiques and collectibles business, but an artist that does hanging work, need walls. I found a local artist that needed quick cash, and he gave me a deal, so...Time to put on the "big girl panties", and make some serious paintings and STUFF, because I counted them Saturday, and I have approximately 35 paintings and journal pages to sell. That is down from over a hundred at the Christmas show. The good thing is that I am making money, the bad thing is I won't continue to make money if I don't get some serious STUFF going on.

The other good thing is I just got my canvas order (25 ATC sized canvas', and 90 canvas' ranging from 4 x 4 to 9 x 12, and some new paints) so, I am ready!!WOOOHOOO!!! (Christmas came a bit late this year!)

On the list of things that I want to do this year--

I want to learn to solder. Work with metals. Use metal tape, make my own stamps, buy a rubber stamp making machine (this one is far-fetched--but I can dream), continue doing assemblages, and make some rather substantial ones, I want to learn how to make jewelry and charms (not to sell--I just want to LEARN HOW). I just want to LEARN as much as I can), and I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO OPERATE A SEWING MACHINE. I am going to conquer my fear!

AND..Lordy, I need to STOP making these domino things...LOL..I whipped these out on an assemblage doll break. I am so addicted to these things, and I have them coming out of my..Well, you can choose your orifice...hehehe...Another thing is this year, I am going to continue to work small. I can sell 3 large paintings a year for $150 each , or I can sell 100 a year for $30...that's $450 compared to $3000..so, at least until the economy is healthy again, I know that I want to continue to keep my prices down, so that it's affordable for anyone that wants it. (Crossing fingers that I can sell 1 painting this year, NOT saying that I can actually sell another 100..LOL).

So, all I have to do is figure out where to sell, besides the Artist Market, our town's First Monday Trade Day, and several other art thingies that are local.

SOMETHING ELSE I SERIOUSLY WANT TO DO--I have neglected you all. I know I have, because January is just a BAD month for me. I AM SORRY!! I have a book of 400+ Audubon Bird Prints, and 2 HUGE Renaissance paintings books for FREEBIES, and yet, I haven't done much toward getting them scanned and on the freebie list. I WANT to get "Many Manaics Creating Art" (my art journaling group), back on track, and get participation (on my part) back to a daily thing. I WANT to visit your blogs and leave comments (something that I have really been slack about). FORGIVE ME FOR SLEEPING JANUARY away..LOL. I WANT TO DO SOME TUTORIALS TOO!! I love doing them, but really can't think of anything to TEACH you all.

One more note..and I will go away..I know I am boring you all to tears, if you have made it this far..LOL..I sold Mr. Moon to a wonderful lady and as I was trying to figure out HOW to ship the darn thing--it's HUGE--, I decided to drive it to her personally. She lives about 126 miles away, and I am so excited to meet this lady!!! I love meeting new people, and all!

Anyway..that's all..FINALLY..Sorry to bore you to tears.

OH!! Sometime, I have to find time to read all the ART MARKETING books that I have been meaning to read. LOL..I need at least TWO of me!!

GOOD HAPPY MORNING!!

Good Morning!! Yesterday was AMAZING!! Thank you to the three WONDERFUL ladies that bought my assemblage dolls, almost as fast as I could make them!!!! I appreciate it!!

I woke up a little while ago, hungry as a bear! Trying to remember how long it's been since I have had food..because I was actually tummy-growling HUNGRY!! So, I fixed my current favorite breakfast of tuna fish, (with pickles and onions), on Pepperidge Farms fruit and nut whole grain bread (open faced), and a huge pile of pickled ginger on the side. Ahhhh!! It hit the spot!! Now, for my first cup of coffee, and I'll be ready to go!!

I did a horrible thing just now! I woke Petey the Wonderdog up before 7! For those of you that have read my blog for a long time--you know for the longest time, Petey would NOT come into the house. NOW--he thinks he's an INSIDE dog, and he whines if I leave him outside. He sleeps right off of the kitchen, and he gives me evil looks when I wake him up. I gave him some of my tuna fish though, so maybe he'll forgive me!!hehehe.

Well, I have done the internet rounds, and it's time to get busy!! Off to the art room I go..

FOUND OBJECT ASSEMBLAGE ART DOLL SNEAK PEAK..heheheh

Saturday, January 24, 2009 Edit This 5 Comments »
Hello!! This is a tiny sneak peak of my little assemblage art doll...she turned out wonderful!! Just to give you a hint--I used some of my new found rusted tin, and it's titled "Mary Had A Little Lamb"..hehehe..that's ALL I am telling until she's finished.

I went to the Artist's Market today, and it was kind of slow. I sat between people that were selling perfumed items, and it made me headachy, and grouchy...LOL.. I came home and went to sleep.

Anyway--nothing much else is happening. Just counting the days until warm weather gets here, and I can bask in the sun!!

THRIFTING and COLORED RUSTY THINGS= HEAVEN!!

Thursday, January 22, 2009 Edit This 21 Comments »
I had a BLAST yesterday!! Me and a friend went ALL over, thrifting and antiquing our day away!! I hit a jackpot!! I have been wanting to do some little rusty art dolls, but was at a loss, because I didn't have much rusty metal for the bodies...well...THAT is no longer a problem!! I went into an antique store, and there were two HUGE boxes of this cut, color, RUSTY metal..and I asked how much they wanted for ALL of it..(of course--I got this crazy look from the lady). Well, she made me a deal--and it was a GOOD deal, and I am soooooooooooo happy!!! This is one box of it, and yes, there is more--but, I didn't feel like dragging it all in the house.

here's some cute sheep or doggies or something. A lot of the metal is cut into shapes like angels, sheep, bears, stars, etc...

and then I found a box of these wooden corner pieces!!! I was happy dancing!! Of course, I bought ALL of these that they had too!!

My husband and I went the other night and bought ourselves each a Dremel kit (Lowe's had the dremel and all the accessories, with a carrying case on sale), each a table vice, and I got me a pair of awesome tin snips, a miter box and saw, some safety goggles, and a ton of little metal goodies...so..I am off and running!!! Art dollies, here I come!! My only problem is that I have to find time to make dolls, paint, journal and all the other things that I want to do!! Ok..I better get busy, and get to work!

WoohooooO!!!! I am back..I have had a good arty day thus far!!! A journal page..not done quite yet..but it's on it's way...

4 cigar box assemblages--these are still in the baby stages of laying stuff out...so, don't know where they will go..but I am liking them ok... This one is something religious..not sure where I am going yet...
This one is going to have a carnival/circus theme to it.

Broken--This is going to be about child abuse. I am really feeling good about it.
ANDDDDD...I have started to sting a NECKLACE..(not showing you yet..nenner, nenner). It's got the most beautiful glass, antique, aurora borealis beads so far..(I know nothing of making jewelry--but have ordered a ton of jewelry stuff..LOL..waiting on it to get here.) I did get a few beads strung (3 strands), and am thinking of doing some wiring, and a bisque doll with it.
I have just been arting my little heart out...I tried something different today, turned off the tv, and turned on the music. (I NEVER listen to music while doing art)...Anyway..that was pointless--I was dancing up a storm..and forgetting the art..LOL..I had to switch from "PINK", to my brother-in-laws bluegrass gospel singing, just to be able to be still enough to create..heheheh..Ok..back to work!!

MAIL GOODIES, JEWERLY GOODIES, FACE GOODIES, AND ZINE GOODIES...

Sunday, January 18, 2009 Edit This 7 Comments »
I bought these two originals from Tumblefish Studio, and they arrived today!! Along with a bunch of fantastic other stuff!! Thank you Marsha. I have to tell you first and foremost that Marsha's work is AMAZING..they look in real life like they could just pop out of the art, and sit and chat with you!! I LOVEEEEEEEEEE THEM!!!!

Then today at the Artist Market, I bought this wonderful necklace. The pictures do not do it justice at ALL. I love the beads (they resemble Blue Willow china). I don't wear jewelry at all, and don't really know WHY I bought it--it just struck my fancy, and I really try to help out the other artist at the market, when I can.
Well, after I came home from the Artist Market, and took a nap, and fixed dinner..I went into my very organized and clean art room, and painted these babies up! I love the way they turned out. Last week, I had to use up some Paper Clay (when I working on Mr. Moon), and so I pressed it all into my little face molds, and had set them aside to dry. I have big plans for these babies...LOL..hope you like what I do with them!!
And LAST --BUT NOT LEAST!! I got my issue of PORTALS ZINE yesterday!! It's so AWESOME!!! I love it!! I will show you some sneak peaks tomorrow, but right now, it's 2:30 am, and I am going to bed.
Sweet Dreams!!

THINKING THAT I HAVE REDNECK FEET!!!

Thursday, January 15, 2009 Edit This 9 Comments »

Good Happy Morning!! It's 21 degrees here, but the SUN IS SHINING, which makes for just a WONDERFUL, PERFECT DAY !!!

You know those cute little pictures that people are always posting of their perfectly painted little toes, and cutesy shoes, and dainty feet?? WELL..HERE's my take on it!! I HAVE REDNECK FEET! I am also praying that my friends back in Pensacola DO NOT visit my blog today. The Suzan that THEY knew had some fashion sense, and would not have been caught in anything that was CAMO-WEAR..OMG..I am so ashamed. I am hanging my head in shame, and looking down at nice, toasty, warm feet.

These are my husband's hunting thingies. They are enormous! Like having a sleeping bag tied to each of your feet. My husband no longer hunts. Poor man married me, and I don't believe in hunting, not to mention that I sold all of his hunting manly, man stuff to various rednecks in the area...hehehee...(Also SOLD his fishing boat--but WILL NOT tell that story, since it's STILL a sore spot..all I'm saying is..some REDNECK knocked on my door one night, wanted to buy the boat, which WASN'T for sale--he had CASH though...and well..you can imagine the rest. NOT my fault that my husband WAS AT WORK, and I DIDN'T ASK...The man had CASH....all I'm saying is ..DICK BLICK order was placed the next morning...) Anyway, back to the CAMO SHOES FROM HELL..my husband offered them up a few nights ago, saying that HE didn't NEED them anymore...no gun, no bows, no hunting...and at first I would have NO part in wearing them. But, I couldn't get my feet warm, and they did look big and comfy...so..I broke down. The cold feet side of me overruled the fashion sense side of me, and I slipped them on over my socked feet. Awww the warmth...

Petey the Wonderdog (I think he has a serious camo phobia) thought they were a tree monster, and tried to eat my toes off...lol..but, he realized it was ME, and not some monstrous tree sludging through the kitchen, then he was alright with them. (Petey freely comes inside--having FINALLY gotten over his fear of the house). I swear the dog has more neurosis than sense!!

So, that's it. I have to go to work now..I hope you all have a GREAT, ARTY day!!

I AM TAGGED!!

Sunday, January 11, 2009 Edit This 10 Comments »
Good Morning!! This is my second time up this morning, having gone to bed at around 9 last night, and getting up the first time in the middle of the night. Then going back to bed, and sleeping some more..Anyway..this is my second awakening of the day--and I have been tagged.

I normally do not play tags--but this one is about addictions--(let's call them obsessions, because the word addiction makes me feel like I need outside help to overcome..heheheh). Sooo.. Aimee from Aimee In Ohio: Scrappy Chick and Becky from Whymsical Musings have both decided to punish me...um..I mean tag me. The tag is to tell 5 "obsessions" and so I will do 10 (since it happened twice--IF I have 10)...Let's see...

1. ART SUPPLIES---namely Dick Blick, though I will buy other places if the phone isn't handy.
I have bought so much there this year, that they sent me the huge school edition of their catalog..it's about 5 inches thick..LOL.

2. PICKLED GINGER--I will eat it on everything, all day long, out of the jar, I snack on it like it's candy, and I buy it by the case.

3. CHOCOLATE--this is a given. (Said as I eat Hershey's kisses with my morning coffee). It's best when eaten with pickled ginger.

4. OLD PAPER--especially anything with an illustration on it.

5. ESTATE SALES, GARAGE SALES, ETC..--this is part of the way that I make a living, and I am absolutely nutso when it comes to them.

6. Cigarettes--this is definitely an addiction, and a HORRIBLE one. (the only one that I regret having).

7. COFFEE--I drink it constantly. The only two things I drink are coffee and flavored water.

8. NCIS--I LOVE this show!

9. GILMORE GIRLS--it makes me productive.

10. LOOKING AT OTHER PEOPLE'S WORK ON THE INTERNET...I sometimes do it for hours, and always wish that I had pulled myself away, and created something.

So, there you go. A tidbit of my life. I tell you all--I am perfectly boring.

Saturday, January 10, 2009 Edit This 11 Comments »
I am struggling to journal....this took me about all day, I would work a bit, then go take a nap, work a bit, then go take a nap...LOL...cold rainy days are specifically made for naps..don't you agree??

I think I am going to stop fighting it, and just go to bed. I also think that I will sleep until mid-March...so someone call me then, and wake me up.

MAIL GOODIES, WEEK 1 OF 2009, NEW PROJECT, AND NEW JOURNAL PAGE

Thursday, January 08, 2009 Edit This 11 Comments »
Hello!! It FINALLY STOPPED RAINING--Good Lordy, I live at the very highest point of a mountain, and I was getting puddles about 2 inches deep...I feel sorry for the people down the mountain, I bet their stuff was floating away.

Here's a new journal page. I hope you can see it. Due to some unfortunate copying that someone has been doing, I have to go smaller, and now mark them. It breaks my heart that there are people out there who steal. Sorry that everyone has to suffer, because of one person.
I got a wonderful package in the mail yesterday from my friend Marsha of Tumble Fish Studio.
She sent me a goody package, and her first "journal" page. This woman's stuff is so amazing, it looks great online, but it's BETTER in person. Check out her stuff!! She does the best fairies ever!! Thank you so much Marsha!!!
I have been working on a new project. This is it. It is Paper Clay, and 12 inches in diameter. It started it's life as a globe...lol..WAIT till you see it!!!
Well, the first week of the year is over, and I have already been busy, busy!! I have finished two art dolls, a partial big black thing..(hehehe), a journal page, and 50+ dominoes...Not enough, but a sufficient amount of stuff. It rained all week, and I slept more than usual, so maybe next week, I can get more productive. To make my goal, I have to do at least one saleable piece a day...*sigh...
I GOT SOMETHING ELSE IN THE MAIL TODAY!!! Stampington returned my journals to me!! It was like welcoming home old friends!!
Well, that is about it...

WHERE IS MY HUSBAND'S DESK LAMP???

Monday, January 05, 2009 Edit This 6 Comments »
oH!! There it is...LOL...I wonder how long before he misses it?? I finished this piece today...but, I couldn't get good pictures, so you'll have to wait for Mr. Sunshine tomorrow. It was raining/foggy/cloudy/uglier than a toad's butt today, and the camera would not co-operate!!

This is the piece before I started painting it. I used my husband's desk lamp, a doll head, a wire mesh mannequin thingie, and some wonderful goodies that I got in the mail today...(you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see those too!!) Thank you Marsha!! You are wonderful!!!!

I also tried to use the spray stuff that Micheal DeMeng says to use in his book. The "spray in the cracks" stuff, that expands, and multiplies, and sticks to everything in sight. I have a new respect for Mr. DeMeng. The stuff is like working with an uncontrolable pile of POO...lol..You'll see it tomorrow. It does paint up rather nicely though.

ALTERED ART DOLL TRIAL RUN and FAILURE

Friday, January 02, 2009 Edit This 8 Comments »
Good Happy Morning!!! Last night before I went to sleep, I started to construct an altered art doll/toy (Micheal DeMeng influenced)..gosh, there's so many things that I want to do, and I don't have the time to do them all...I need to be cloned!!LOL..I have in the works right now--5 art pages, this doll, and 4 very large wooden bowls (which are going to be gorgeous when I'm done-not bragging--just REALLY loving my bowls!!).

I have recently gotten a lot of comments that ask is there anything you (talking about ME) CAN'T do. Yes, there is. Anyone that has read this blog for very long will tell you about my glitter thing--I CAN'T use glitter. I am glitter-handicapped...But, I was very fortunate to be raised by two strong country people (my grandparents), and even though they didn't see me going into art as a career--they NEVER told me that I couldn't do anything. I CAN'T is rarely in my vocabulary. I CAN'T sets you up for failure, I CAN'T kills the ability before it begins.

I have sort of a mantra that I say constantly, especially when I am faced with something new and scary. It's Philippians 4:13-- I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me.(this is my version of it, not the biblical version)...I have used this as a power mantra all of my life (since my early teens), I used it A LOT when raising my daughter as a single mom for 14 years, and I use it A LOT doing ART. I never plan my art, or start with any idea in mind, and I don't think very many things out...I just do it. I NEVER SAY that I CAN'T do it. I just jump in, feet first, eyes closed, and say my mantra. The rest just happens.

So, if you find yourself in this new year...uttering the words "I CAN'T"--take a wooden spoon, and hit yourself HARD on the head. One of two things are going to happen--You are either going to be unconscious, lying on the floor, tongue hanging out, from beating yourself half to death with a wooden spoon---OR...you are going to STOP using the words "I CAN'T". I am hoping for the latter. BUT, if the first one happens--Well, don't blame me because YOU can't learn a simple lesson..heheheheh.

Ok..back to work!

MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS

Thursday, January 01, 2009 Edit This 15 Comments »

1. To Stop making these senseless domino pendants, just because they are fast and fun! (LOL). (All of these are hand-drawn, and colored by the way.)
2. To produce AT LEAST 365 SELLABLE pieces of ART. (Not including journal pages).
3. To journal for at least 15 minutes EVERY DAY.
4. To Make $75,000-100,000 THIS YEAR. (this is a long shot, but HEY! I can dream, can't I?)
I am not going to get crazy, and go the "lose weight, eat healthy, excercise, blah, blah, blah" route with my resolutions--I could make them, but honestly--I have a chocolate eclair sitting in my kitchen, and it's blantantly screaming my name..LOL...so, within 24 hours of MAKING THOSE kind of resolutions, I would throw them out the window, feel like a failure, and STILL ENJOY the heck out of the eclair.
