EVOLUTION OF A PAINTING...

Ok...started with this. (I showed it to you all a few days ago...) Watercolor on paper. Regular paper--not even watercolor paper.

Then I mounted (glued) it to wood, and added some acrylics....HATED IT.
Then tonight, this is what I did to it...same picture, same painting..just painted over the entire thing, except the face.

Live Artfully!

Oh what fun!! I love all of the paintings!! Sometimes I too have paintings like this...I just keep working it until I am finally satisfied or thrilled. One or the other.

very interesting! I like where you ended up in the last one!

Good morning Suzan! Always interesting to see what artists do with/to the things they don't like. Maybe the new painting is the daughter of the mom in the previous painting? :)
Nicely done.

Can you share your technique for mounting onto wood without lots of air bubbles? Thanks.

I loved seeing how you changed this painting until it was perfect! A terrific reminder to never give up until you are satisfied.
